We are the Austin chapter of Families for
Russian and Ukrainian Adoptions (FRUA). FRUA is a 501(c)(3), nonprofit support network for adoptive
families with children from the former Soviet Republics
and neighboring countries. We have children from Belarus, Moldova,
Georgia, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Estonia, Latvia,
Lithuania, Kyrgyzstan, Armenia, Azerbaijan,
Turkmenistan,
and Tadzhikistan,
as well as Russia
and the Ukraine.
For a small annual fee, members have
access to information and events that address the specific needs of our
families. We also have a Yahoo! Group
email list that provides a forum for advice and advocates adoption.
To join FRUA-Austin, please visit the
national FRUA website at www.frua.org
and click on Membership.
Memberships are automatically forwarded to us. To change
your FRUA information or for any questions not answered on the website,
email info@frua.org.
