July 2010: Summer Educational Workshop Cyrillic in 20 Minutes by Elliott Nowacky, and Storytelling of Russian, Ukrainian and Kazakhstan Fairy Tales JULY 27TH 6:45-7:45 Yarborough Public Library 2200 Hancock Drive Austin, TX 78756 All adults, teens and older kids are invited to attend Cyrillic in 20 Minutes, an interactive, visual and educational presentation unlocking the mysteries of the Cyrillic language. We are pleased to welcome the dynamic speaker, Elliott Nowacky, who has lived and traveled in all the interesting far-away places our children were born. Meanwhile, all younger kids will be welcomed into the library childrens' area for storytelling of Russian, Ukrainian and Kazakhstan Fairy Tales. Marina Potoplyak, our storyteller, is a native Russian speaker and UT CREES program student who will also have activities planned for the kids. FRUA parent volunteers will help supervise the children during storytelling while the elders attend the presentation. The Summer Educational Workshop is a family affair. The FRUA Austin Board hopes you enjoy this culturally enriching summer educational workshop in support of our FABULOUS Austin FRUA group.
